United States
Operators on the ground in the Northeast corridor.
From Washington DC to New York, with our US team based in Philadelphia in the middle of it. We do not fly in with a deck and fly out. We work alongside companies in the corridor to find the real problem, build the answer, and stay until it works.
Why the corridor, and why us.
The Northeast corridor is one of the densest commercial regions in the world, and most of its retail and commerce still happens on a physical floor. That floor is exactly what we have spent careers running. Between us is more than a century of IKEA-grown retail and product experience, and we have kept mission-critical store systems live across 450 stores and rescued one from total shutdown after its server room was destroyed. We are operators who have carried the result, not advisors who recommend it.
Where we work.
We focus on four markets along the corridor, each with its own reality.
Philadelphia. In the middle of the corridor. Our US team works the Northeast from here, which is why Philadelphia anchors what we do.
New York. The flagship market: from Fifth Avenue and SoHo to Hudson Yards, where in-store experience and AI-search visibility are fought hardest. We work with New York clients across the corridor.
Jersey City & Newark. North Jersey's corporate and waterfront hubs, where head offices, retail and distribution meet. Close to New York, with their own economy to serve.
Washington DC. The south anchor of the corridor. A different economy, led by institutions and enterprise, where we lead with transformation and AI-search visibility.
What we do here.
The Connected Floor. In-store retail technology that lets a store see and run itself: electronic shelf labels, pick-to-light, in-store and QR commerce, live floor data.
The Selling Floor. Store concept and the in-store customer experience: layout, circulation, staging and the path a customer walks, so a store converts more without changing the product.
Be the Answer. GEO and AI-search visibility, so the engines name you when a buyer asks. The other half of being found, now that search is becoming answers.
Hub Map. Our flagship transformation engagement: we find the real problem, build the answer, and stay until the organisation adopts it and the number moves.
More of what we do
Beyond the named offers, the same operators bring the full range across the corridor, from the platform that runs it to the visibility that gets you found.
The proof we bring to the US.
In-store technology live in more than 150 stores across ten countries. A digital price-tag programme modelled in the billions over its life. A single-date system switchover across 29 stores with zero lost sales. And the reliability backbone: 450 mission-critical stores kept running, governed to enterprise standards. The full record, anonymized and named, is on the proof page.
FAQ
Questions, answered straight.
Where in the US does The 34 Group work?
Across the Northeast corridor: Philadelphia, New York, Jersey City and Newark, and Washington DC. Our US team is in Philadelphia, in the middle of the corridor, and we work with clients up and down it.
Do you have a US office?
Our US team works from Philadelphia and serves the whole corridor. We do not claim offices in cities where we do not sit, and we will not invent a vanity address. You get operators who show up, not a flag on a map.
What does The 34 Group do across the corridor?
We are operators, not advisors. We run transformation, build retail technology and e-commerce platforms, design store concept and in-store experience, ship AI and automation adoption, and make sure AI search names you. We build and stay until it works.
What kind of companies do you work with?
Retailers and commerce operators, PE-backed companies, founder-led scaleups, and institutions and enterprises across the corridor. The filter is a real problem and a person who owns it, not the size of the company.
Working in the corridor?
No deck, no gate. Bring your real problem to a working session with the operators who would own it.
